Paulus Sutisna was appointed President Director in 2015 before he became Commissioner in 2022. He has 30 years of experience as a professional banker with banking industry knowledge. Paulus joined DBS after ending his career at HSBC Indonesia as Head of Client Management of Global Banking. Prior to that, he spent 24 years at Citibank as Managing Director and as Head of Multinational Franchise in Indonesia. He also worked as an expatriate at Citi Amsterdam from 1999-2002.

Despite spending most of his career in customer related service, both in corporate banking and transaction banking, he is also well versed in risk and credit management function. He finished his Computer Science degree at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.

Since being appointed President Director of DBS Indonesia in 2015, Paulus Sutisna has expanded the Bank and transformed it into a leading digital banking player. In particular, he oversaw the successful integration of ANZ Indonesia’s consumer and wealth business with DBS in 2018, and the launch of digibank by DBS in Indonesia in 2017. In recent years, DBS Indonesia has won multiple awards and accolades, including being named No. 1 in Forbes’ “World’s Best Banks” ranking for Indonesia in 2021.
