Himanshu joined PT Bank DBS Indonesia as Chief Risk Officer in 2023, after previously serving as the Chief Risks Officer of DBS Bank India since April 2018. He previously worked at DBS Bank Singapore as a Managing Director - Head Small and Midsize Enterprise (SME) Credit Group. In this position, he handles credit risk for Singapore SME (Singapore SME) credit portfolios and oversee the NPL and Provision. In addition, he managed risk for portfolios that include real estate, construction, food and beverages, electronics, automotive, inventory and logistics, consumer goods, education, and other consumer products.
During the last 14 years, Himanshu Vaidya has had experience as a banker at DBS Bank, especially in credit risk management. He began his career in 1989 as a Financial Planning Manager at Gulf Bank KSC, Kuwait. Then in 1990 he continued his career as Assistant Vice President of Corporate Banking Relationship at ABN AMRO Bank NV, Dubai until becoming Senior Advisory Risk Advisor Services at ABN AMRO bank NV, Singapore in 2006. In 2009 and 2010, he joined DBS Bank as Chief Risk Officer at The Islamic Bank of Asia (DBS Group Subsidiary).
He completed his undergraduate degree in Financial Accounting and Auditing from Bombay University. In 1987, he earned his Master of Commerce from Bombay University and obtained his Chartered Accountant Certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Later in 1989, he earned his MBA of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
