In this policy, “we”, “us”, “our” or “DBS” means DBS Bank Ltd, POSB, DBS Nominees Private Limited and/or DBS Trustee Limited, “you”, “your” or “yours” means the persons to whom this policy applies and “DBS Group” means DBS Bank Ltd., its related corporations, affiliates and branches.
By accessing www.dbs.com/dbsdevelopers, www.dbs.com/dbsdevelopers and/or the related pages (collectively, “Developer Portal”) and/or participating in the programme involving the development and embedding of DBS’ application programme interface (“DBS APIs”) for use with websites and mobile applications to enhance existing customer journeys and/or introduce new and innovative customer journeys (“DBS API Programme”), you agree:
(a) to be bound by this policy which supplements the terms of the DBS Bank Privacy Policy accessible at https://www.dbs.com/privacy/default.page by setting out the additional purposes in relation to which we may collect, use and/or disclose your personal data;
(b) the following sections of the DBS Bank Privacy Policy (including any amendments made thereto from time to time) are incorporated by reference in this policy, mutatis mutandis: (i) Your Privacy is Important to Us; (ii) What Personal Data We Collect; (iii) Use of Personal Data for Marketing Purposes; (iv) Disclosure and Sharing of Personal Data; (v) Cookies and Related Technologies; (vi) Other Web Sites; and (vii) Retention of Personal Data; and
(c) in relation to third party personal data:
(i) if you provide such data to us, you confirm that you have obtained such third party’s consent to our collection, use and disclosure of their personal data on the terms set out in this policy and the DBS Bank Privacy Policy; and
(ii) if you use such data in connection with your development of, testing of and/or connection with the DBS APIs, you shall comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012) and all other applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidance relating to data protection and privacy in Singapore, and equivalent laws, regulations and regulatory guidance in other applicable jurisdictions (collectively “Data Protection Laws”). You shall not by any act or omission cause us to be in breach of any of the Data Protection Laws.
If you do not agree to the above, you must immediately discontinue your access of this portion of the website and the rest of the Developer Portal.
We may use your personal data for the following purposes, in addition to those set out in the DBS Bank Privacy Policy as may be applicable:
(a) managing the contractual relationship between DBS and you under the relevant terms and conditions;
(b) administering the DBS API Programme;
(c) providing you with access to documentation and information pertaining to DBS APIs, Developer Portal and DBS API Programme, sandbox data and live data (where applicable), tracking and generating the unique licensed access credentials issued to you, facilitating or otherwise providing you with assistance and/or support in relation to your development of, testing of and/or connection with the DBS APIs, sending service surveys, and/or sending communications related to DBS APIs, Developer Portal and DBS API Programme;
(d) developing and providing the DBS APIs, Developer Portal or DBS API Programme or banking facilities, products or services (whether made available by us or through us), including but not limited to:
i. executing investments, banking, commercial or other transactions and clearing or reporting on these transactions;
ii. carrying out research, planning and statistical analysis; or
iii. analytics for the purposes of developing or improving our products, services, security, service quality, and advertising strategies;
(e) assessing and processing applications, instructions or requests from you or our customers;
(f) communicating with you, including providing you with updates on changes to the DBS APIs, Developer Portal or DBS API Programme and products, services and banking facilities (whether made available by us or through us) (for example, any releases of new DBS APIs, any new initiatives relating to the DBS API Programme), and including any other additions, expansions, suspensions and replacements of or to such programme, products, services and banking facilities and their terms and conditions;
(g) managing our infrastructure and business operations and complying with internal policies and procedures;
(h) responding to queries or feedback;
(i) addressing or investigating any complaints, claims or disputes;
(j) verifying your identity;
(k) conducting credit checks, screenings or due diligence checks as may be required under applicable law, regulation or directive;
(l) complying with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, directives, orders, instructions and requests from any local or foreign authorities, including regulatory, governmental, tax and law enforcement authorities or other authorities;
(m) monitoring products and services provided by or made available through us;
(n) complying with obligations and requirements imposed by us from time to time by any credit bureau or credit information sharing services of which we are a member or subscriber;
(o) creating and maintaining credit and risk related models;
(p) financial reporting, regulatory reporting, management reporting, risk management (including monitoring credit exposures), audit and record keeping purposes;
(q) enabling any actual or proposed assignee or transferee, participant or sub-participant of DBS’ rights or obligations to evaluate any proposed transaction;
(r) enforcing obligations owed to us; and/or
(s) seeking professional advice, including legal advice.
We may also use personal data for purposes set out in the terms and conditions that govern our relationship with you.
You may request access or make corrections to your personal data held by DBS. DBS may charge a fee for processing your request for access. Such a fee depends on the nature and complexity of your access request. Information on the processing fee will be made available to you.
