DBS Bank (Hong Kong) has launched a new Startup Xchange program aimed at supporting startups that can solve the bank's challenges.
The new program has been rolled out in both Hong Kong and Singapore. DBS Bank plans to source startups that can co-create solutions with the bank to address business problem statements in real time.
Startups will be able to showcase the solutions developed by DBS and name the bank as their anchor client while raising funds.
"Fostering a dynamic global ecosystem of collaborative FinTech startups based on targeted business problem statements, as well as opportunities, is key to helping us reimagine and shape the future of banking." DBS Bank (Hong Kong) innovation and ecosystem head Brit Blakeney said.
"Startup Xchange is a natural extension and evolution of DBS Accelerator, and is a win-win for both the startups and DBS Hong Kong, as we are able to explore and solve business ideas together in real time."
DBS Bank has helped raise over US$16 million in funding for startups since the launch of its DBS Accelerator program in 2016.
DBS Hong Kong has completed proofs of concept with startup alumni including FinChat, Perx Technologies, HyperAnna and Squirro.
