It’s all started when Felicia Claresta decided to make her true starting her own business with friends became reality. After finishing her study in the United States, she became an employee at a private bank and tried a few different jobs. Deep down, becoming an entrepreneur was her true calling. Together with her friends Felicia opened a Japanese restaurant in Singapore called The Sushi Bar.
The Sushi Bar started in 2012 as a whole in the wall with 20 seats at Far East Plaza. It has now expanded to 70 seats in the same location and a new outlet at Takashimaya (Ngee Ann City) Shopping Centre with 110 seats. At that time, Japanese food was relatively expensive and classified as fancy food. Felicia saw it as an opportunity to create tasty Japanese food with affordable price.
