Established in 1989 with only 91 employees, PT Bank DBS Indonesia (DBSI) has never stopped in innovating and improving its products and services to then in 2000 DBSI successfully launched the consumer banking business, SME business and GTS Cash Management. DBSI continues to provide Indonesia’s market with new products and services and entering 2010, DBSI has successfully positioned itself as one of the leading foreign bank in the country with more than 1,400 total employees.
For 25 years of service in Indonesia and with strong commitment as the most strategic partner for the country’s economic growth, DBSI has played a key role in stimulating the growth of corporations, SMEs as well as investment target of our customers. Today, our role goes beyond businesses. We recognize that the future of business is to be the force of good.

Our journey beyond Singapore began with the opening of our first overseas branch in Tokyo. Many more first branches in other core regional markets followed: Taiwan (1983), Hong Kong (1988), Indonesia (1989), China (1993) and India (1995).
Now, our global network spans across 17 markets with some 21,000 staff and more than 250 branches.
Beyond the anchor market of Singapore, DBS serves corporate, institutional and retail customers through its operations in China, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. As the banking facility demand to grow the economy raised, DBS Group extends its footprint and commitment to Indonesia to become strategic partner for the nation’s economy growth. Now we are delighted to serve customers in Indonesia through a larger and deeper banking network across 11 cities.
Yet, Singapore is, and will always be, our home. Today, from our new headquarters in Marina Bay, Singapore’s new financial downtown, we continue to re-imagine the future of banking in Asia - with our innovative suite of products and services, from ibanking, mobile banking to PayLah!, which offers mobile payment, and Home Connect, the app that helps property buyers make informed decisions.
