Starting out as a creative designer in advertising agency, Disyon Ezer Kharisma has developed his professional career in the creative industry with more than 11 years of experience in different industries; from retail business, furniture shops, to fulfilling client’s need in the development of many promotion programs, designs, and creative materials.

Having a background in advertising communications, Disyon was quite confident in starting his career as a creative designer. He’s also aware that his profession is not just limited to designing creative posters, flyers, or invitations, but also in fulfilling clients needs through creating event concepts and providing creative direction to fulfill clients needs. In 2012, Disyon worked as a creative director for a furniture shop from Germany, and was responsible for any promotion programs, advertising communication, and visual merchandising. It was through this that he surprisingly found his passion in interior design.

Disyon’s SPARK story as a tastemaker and decorator begins.

In 2015, Disyon along with his parters finally decided to start a business in service industry; specifically in becoming consultants for advertising communications. The business brought Disyon to greater opportunities, challenging him to provide a concepts and decorations for private events. On top of this, he soon realised that he enjoyed arranging flowers, table setting, centerpiece setting, and also decorating party rooms and elements such as candles, ribbons, and balloons.

He didn’t realize that his newfound passion gave him more clients that were recommended by his previous clients. After some time, he finally understood that his new expertise in decorating room and event was his true passion.

Without any doubt, after realizing his new SPARK, he affirms himself to start a business under his own brand, called MAHADISYON, which utilizes his expertise as tastemaker and decorator.

Being a decorator is more than simply being a florist. A lot of people know me as a florist who provide and arrange flowers. My job is more than that. I create a concept, a theme, and then I decorate room and set the atmosphere in order to get the party or meeting theme right,

said Disyon.

He also added, “I simply create style. I ensure that every guests understand and feel the concept and theme that’s already been set by the host.”

Everything from meetings, gatherings, birthday parties, thanksgiving parties, to corporate events are all handled by Disyon. According to Disyon, MAHADISYON provides a bold, beautiful, maximalist, and ecletic concept to events. When he opened his business in 2014, he received help Credit Without Collateral (KTA) from Bank DBS Indonesia so he can afford to pay his business; starting from capital in promotion and operational matters that sometimes become a challenge for start-up business. “On top of the easier access and fast process, the KTA facility from DBS Bank Indonesia allows me to pay the installment with ease, especially with the competitiveness of interest rates. Disyon is very much confident with the SPARK that transformed into his new business. Now, MAHADISYON has become one of top decoration service options for urban private events in Jakarta. He hopes his brand will become bigger and have more people inspired by his concept so he can always give his best concept in conducting an event, so his value can meet the client’s expectation.

For Disyon, his biggest challenge in making his own business is to find the perfect team that has the same idealism and MAHADISYON’s taste. Not everything is easy as it requires experience and courage in realizing every concept needed by clients. However, Disyon believes that his SPARK in becoming a tastemaker and decorator can fulfill his bigger and greater success in his life; with his style and his unstoppable imagination in offering and giving something different.
