Dream does not always have to be a personal thing. In many ways, it is something for sharing. Like Adi, he shares his dream through SPARK, Igniting Possibilities, Sparking Joy campaign by DBS Indonesia. This TV reporter has been involved in social activities ever since he studied in college.
Started teaching for underprivileged children with a campus organization, he is motivated to realize his dream, continuing what he initiated in the past, but now with his resources.
I see children nowadays have difficulties in writing and storytelling. They tend to be shy and afraid in voicing out their opinion. I am worried they seldom read, write and story-tell on their own while if they write, they will need to read as well. Hopefully, by sufficient practice, they can become more stimulated and more confident when storytelling”Adi explained.
Through the campaign “Igniting Possibilities, Sparking Joy (SPARK)”, DBS Indonesia helped Adi to realize his positive aspiration. The bank partners with Rumah Pohon Activity initiated by Salma Indria Rahman. One of the programs they run is Juki & Friends Tale Club where since April 19, Adi shared his insights with the children in the organizations. The enthusiasm and joy among the children is clearly shown for they are not taught only to write, but also to create some crafts and practice public speaking.
