Shareholders of PT Bank DBS Indonesia appoints Ahmad Hidayat as Independent Commissioner | Bahasa

Indonesia, 04 Jan 2024 - Shareholders of PT Bank DBS Indonesia officially appointed Ahmad Hidayat as new Independent Commissioner through the Circular Resolution of the Shareholders dated 28 December 2023. Appointment of Ahmad Hidayat as member of the Board of Commissioner can strengthen the performance of the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors and management of PT Bank DBS Indonesia in providing convenient banking services for customers to align with the principle of ‘Live more, Bank Less’.

Ahmad Hidayat has 34 years of experience in the financial industry having worked in commercial banks and regulatory bodies such as at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). His work experience began in 1989 when he joined Bank Bali through the Officer Development Program with his last position as branch head of Bank Bali Gresik, East Java. He then joined Bank Indonesia for 25 years through the Training Program for Bank Examiner Candidate in 1992. While at Bank Indonesia, he served in various fields including banking regulation and development, bank supervision, secondment at PDFCI Bank for 2 years, payment systems finance, budget, taxation and core banking operations. His last position at Bank Indonesia was Executive Director – Expert Staff to the Board of Governors in finance.
During his tenure as Chairman of the Audit Board, OJK won several awards, namely the Best Gratification Management System award in 2017, 2018 and 2020 and the Best e-LHKPN Implementation in 2017, 2018 and 2020 from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Ahmad Hidayat's educational background strengthened his expertise in this industry. He earned a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from Airlangga University in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2000. Prior to being appointed as Independent Commissioner of PT Bank DBS Indonesia, Ahmad Hidayat served as independent Commissioner at PT Maspion Industrial Estate from September 2023 to the present.
