This fun and highly-interactive show-and-tell + workshop will introduce the consequences of single use plastic and their irresponsible use.
The crafting workshop session will see the kids craft upcycled fabric button magnets from old cotton tops that kids have outgrown. Along the way, their new friend Ellie the Whale will be helping out... only to have the kids 'feed' him their creations.
It'll be a magical lesson when the kids realise all their good, upcycled food that they've been feeding Ellie has been turned into a colourful whale on a magnet wall — imparting the lesson that with the right attitude and actions we can maintain our magnificent marine life in our oceans!
Your kids will then be able to bring their upcycled fabric magnets home to keep on home refrigerators as reminders of Ellie, and how their little action has reduced single use plastic, and that being responsible with disposables can go a long way.
