Racing to a dream | In The Moment: Episode 6

Two years ago, DBS employee Ray set an audacious goal for himself: to be top three in the world in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) DeepRacer League.

To achieve that, he had to upskill in machine learning, and use this new skillset to train his self-driving virtual car (the DeepRacer) to drive around race tracks, both physical & virtual, in the quickest time possible.

Ray then embarked on a journey where he participated in numerous international leagues, the most recent one being the Formula One DeepRacer ProAm Race last month, emerging champion and beating the likes of F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo. DBS CEO Piyush Gupta also extended his congratulations to Ray for putting Singapore & DBS on the world map.
