Blumiwave, Mist Walk

Created by DP Design, presented by DBS

Blumiwave is an interpretation of blue energy, an alternative renewable energy source harnessed from the sea and river waters. It features ‘crashing ‘sculptural waves made with materials such as scaffolding and safety nets that were salvaged from construction sites.

Here, DP Design transforms what are normally perceived as unsightly materials into a space that invites multiple interpretations of the mundane and its possibilities.

In the same vein of giving seemingly discarded materials a new lease of life, all plastics used in the build of Blumiwave will be recycled by local social enterprise Magorium after the i Light festival. Supported by DBS Foundation, Magorium converts plastic waste into a sustainable construction material called ‘NEWBitumen’, to effectively replace crude-derived bitumen to pave eco-roads.

Fun games and experiences at the DBS Zone – all for free!

Located at the heart of GastroBeats, the festival village of i Light Singapore, the DBS Zone promises a fun experience for friends and families of all ages – and all for free!

Using a digital DBS Passport (accessible via onsite QR code), festival goers will be brought on an immersive journey around the DBS Zone where they’ll get to collect digital stamps by participating at the various booths onsite.

Festival goers who successfully collect any four digital stamps will win themselves some DBS swag, and will also be able to pay it forward and help touch the lives of others – in partnership with Food from the Heart, every completion will go towards supporting DBS’ meal donations to families in need.
