We can fix the exchange rate between 2 currencies for an agreed time and take advantage of FX trends via executing vanilla FX Options/structures
An Illustration:
An importer buys a USD/INR Call Option for a strike price = 76.00 for a 3-month Tenure
At the end of 3-months:
If the USD/INR Spot price > 76.00, the Importer will exercise the Call Option and Buy USD from DBS
If the USD/INR Spot price < 76.00, the Importer will let the Call Option lapse
