DBS SnapTag inspires people to enjoy and share the “Live more” philosophy through photos

HONG KONG,21 September 2017 -

Reflecting a simple truth at DBS – that you bank to live, not live to bank – our DBS “Live More” initiative in Hong Kong continued to build on last year’s successful series of video stories* with the launch of iconic Canto-pop lyricist Wyman Wong’s “Live More” videos attracting more than 5.7 million views in the month of August alone.

“Live More” speaks to the heart of who we are at DBS. It is about aspiring to do something purposeful with your life, whether you're in business, raising a family at home, or have a great idea on how to make the world a better place. At DBS, we believe you want to live life to the fullest and you want simple, smart and innovative banking services and products that enable that.

Glendy Chu, Head of Group Strategic Marketing & Communications at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, said, “At DBS Hong Kong, we continue to embrace innovation and digital banking, and ‘Live More’ speaks to our mission of being easy to deal with and of being trustworthy, which characterises the way DBS works. People don’t bank to transact. They bank because they want to get the most out of life.”

For online to offline engagement of the “Live More” community, DBS is calling on the public to snap and share photos showing how they “Live Wow” (travel, lifestyle, food), “Live Well” (health, sports, inspiration), “Live Connected” (friendship, relationship, love) and “Live Creative” (creativity, technology, arts) based on these four weekly themes, starting from this week to 15 October. To enjoy and share the “Live more” philosophy like Wyman, the public can print their photos for special offers and instant prizes via special DBS SnapTag instant photo printers located at The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui, Windsor House in Causeway Bay and Langham Place in Mong Kok.

An inauguration event was held at The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui today, featuring influential Instagrammers Tracy Chu (朱千雪), a popular actress and beauty queen, and Oomeisaya, a star of the highest grossing Thai movie of 2017.

Making her first public appearance in Hong Kong, Oomeisaya, 21, who is affectionately known as Oom, made her debut six years ago as a print model before successfully transitioning to TV and movies. Oomeisaya also has a creative side to her talent, having studied installation art at Silpakorn University in Thailand, and gave a lively demonstration of her “Live Creative” artistic skills at the event.

An inspiration to many, including Oomeisaya, Tracy Chu perfectly embodies “Live Well”. The popular actress is well known in Hong Kong, not only as a 2012 Miss Hong Kong contestant, but also from her award-winning roles in TV dramas and her pursuit of knowledge. Two years ago, Tracy furthered her studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communication, and then a Juris Doctor degree at the City University of Hong Kong’s School of Law, and even found time to learn aerial yoga.
