Homage, Singapore

Quality caregiving at your fingertips

Homage is a platform that connects seniors and persons with disabilities with in-home care services through smart technology. Gillian Tee founded Homage when she was struck by how difficult it was to get quality care while seeking a caregiver for her family members. She also noticed high re-admission rates due to poor post-hospitalisation care and the trend of burnout amongst primary caregivers.

  • 2016 DBS Foundation Grantee
  • Regional network of 15,000 fully-trained care professionals operating in 8 cities
  • Delivering more than 1M hourly care sessions annually
  • Raised USD 30 million of Series C funding in 2021 to further scale impact

Jen Ji Shiang Social Service Institute, Taiwan

Providing access in times of need

Jen Ji Shiang operates Food Sharing Bank Taiwan. It mobilised its resources and manpower to supply food and essential items to those affected by the typhoon that struck Taiwan in July 2023. The Hualien storage, that was built as part of a community programme with DBS Foundation, was the main branch supplying the relief aid as it was the closest to the distribution point.
