Besides these buildings, the SMU boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern classrooms, computer labs and campus-wide wireless LAN networks, seminar and group study rooms, and top-notch research facilities. The university grounds also include a multi-purpose sports hall, a gymnasium, and a swimming pool. The 2,600 square-metre Kwa Geok Choo Law Library is a fully-equipped modern library with the capacity to seat over 500 people.
Located on the famous Prinsep Street is the SMU hostel, formally referred to as SMU Prinsep Street Residences. Abbreviated as PSR, it is a novel communal living concept designed to accommodate young studying adults, those desiring to live and interact in open spaces. The PSR hostel consists of 23 stylish, fully furnished apartments that can provide modern, comfortable living and accommodate approximately 250 residents. Also, the priority to reside on campus is given to international students since most of them choose to live in hostels during their stay in Singapore.
Besides the PRS hostel, the SMU University also leases rooms at a student hostel located rooms at Commonwealth Drive, which can accommodate over 200 SMU students from the 2nd year and onwards and full-time postgraduate students and exchange students. This campus is located near the cosmopolitan Holland Village, popularly known for its cafes and restaurants.
Students may also choose to live off-campus in rented facilities on sharing basis with other students from the university. While residing in one of the hostels can cost you approximately SGD 588 per month, the cost of living in your preferred rented facility depends on the area you live in and can be in the range of SGD 600-800 per month.

No, SMU does not offer online or distance learning modes for their undergraduate degree programs. All SMU undergraduate programmes are conducted on the SMU campus only. The university does not offer part-time undergraduate programmes as well.
