Program

  • DBS Savings account customers (“Customers”) can earn ₹250 cashback for each ‘Eligible Mobile Transfer’ to their friends and families (“Friend/s”) who do not bank with DBS Bank on their mobile number, provided Friend/s open the DBS Savings account linked to the same mobile number within 15 days of the ‘Mobile Transfer’ and maintains  ₹20,000 daily balance in the account for 15 days from account opening date. Upon completion of above conditions, the Customer and the Friend will each become eligible for ₹250 cashback. Additionally, the Friend/s are eligible for additional ₹250 cashback on making total merchant spends of ₹1000 within 15 days of account opening through Debit Card or UPI or using the Billpay/recharge option in the digibank app
  • One can invite upto 20 Friends per month.
  • Program Period: Starts on 18th June 2024 0:01 AM and is valid upto 31st March 2025 11:59 PM (both days inclusive).
  • Program Eligibility: Only DBS Savings account customers are eligible for this Program.

Terms and Conditions

  1. For the purpose of this Program, the Referrer agrees and understands that the Referrer shall be construed as Direct Selling Agent of DBS Bank.
  2. This Program is brought to you by DBS Bank India Limited "DBS”.
  3. ‘Eligible Mobile Transfer’ means (a) fund transfer of minimum ₹ 1 to Friend/s by Customers who do not bank with DBS Bank using ‘Mobile Transfer’ option in digibank app i.e., using the steps – ‘REFER & EARN’ > ‘ENTER MOBILE NUMBER’ > ‘FUND TRANSFER’ and (b) opening of DBS Savings account on digibank app by the said Friend/s within 15 days from date of ‘Mobile Transfer’ by clicking on the link sent via the SMS during the Program Period.
  4. Cashback Program for DBS Bank Customer:
    1. Customer will be required to make an eligble Mobile Transfer of ₹1 or more using "REFER & EARN" option in the digibank app and then transfer using mobile number of Friend/s during the Program Period. Customer’s Friend/s should open a DBS  Savings account on digibank app within 15 days of Eligible Mobile Transfer and maintain Rs 20,000 daily balance in the account for 15 days from account opening date.
    2. If Friend/s do not openDBS Savings account within 15 days, the money transfer initiated by the Customers will be reversed and funds will be credited to the Customer’s account. If the date of reversal as per the stated reversal period, turns out to be a public holiday* or a weekend, the reversal shall be processed on the next working day. The amount held by DBS while processing Customer’s fund transfer request shall not earn any interest for these 15 days or intermediary period. If your Friend/s open the DBS Savings account after the end date of the Program Period, then neither You nor your Friend/s shall be eligible for the cashback. *Public Holiday published by Maharashtra government.
  5. Cashback Program for Friend/s:
    1. Friend/s need to open DBS Savings account opened via digbank app within 15 days of receiving the Mobile Transfer funds and maintain ₹20,000 daily balance in the account for 15 days from account opening date to be eligible for ₹250 cashback. Additionally, the Friend/s can spend ₹1,000 or more in merchant spends using Debit Card or UPI or Billpay/Recharge feature in digibank app in single or multiple transactions, within 15 days of opening the account, to avail additional cashback of ₹250.
    2. Excluded Transactions for Friend/s ₹250 cashback:
      1. Debit Card transactions for funding prepaid payment instruments/wallets/ DBS Bank (wallet or savings account) using DBS Debit card, cash withdrawals at ATMs or DBS Bank branches, void transactions, reversal or refund on POS or e-POS transactions, spends made towards activities such as gambling, lottery, online gaming/online gaming websites will not be considered as a spend under this Program. Incomplete / rejected / invalid / returned / disputed or unauthorized / fraudulent transactions will not be considered for the Program.
      2. UPI transactions for P2P (peer to peer) transfers will not be considered as merchant spends under this program. Spends made towards activities such as gambling, lottery, online gaming/online gaming websites and spends made towards funding of prepaid payment instruments/wallets/DBS Bank (wallet or savings account) will not be considered as a merchant spend under this Program. Incomplete / rejected / invalid / returned / disputed or unauthorized / fraudulent transactions will not be considered for the Program.
  6. There is no limitation of number of Mobile Transfer, but the Customers are eligible for only 20 (twenty) Eligible Mobile Transfer to avail cashback, if all the criteria as captured above are fulfilled. DBS reserves the right to debit your account at its sole discretion in case credits/cashback posted in a Customer’s DBS Savings account exceed 20 (twenty) number of Eligible Mobile Transfers per calendar month. The Customer authorizes DBS, its associates, subsidiaries and affiliates to contact him/her.
  7. The Customer hereby declares that due consent has been obtained from the Friend/s, to provide their contact details to DBS to contact the Friend/s to offer its range of banking services and products. The Customers agrees and undertakes that she/he shall be responsible to DBS, its associates, subsidiaries and affiliates for any losses or claims that may be occasioned upon DBS, if such declaration or undertaking is found to be untrue.
  8. As part of the Program, the Friend/s acknowledges, understands and agrees that when they receive the money transferred by the Customer, If the Friend/s desires to avoid disclosing this personal information, the Friend/s may choose to apply independently and not respond to this Program. Likewise, by transferring funds to the Friend/s, the Customer acknowledges, understands and agrees that the Friend/s will know that the Customer stands a chance to get up to ₹250 for eligible Mobile Transfer. If the Customer does not desire to disclose this information, he/she should not participate in this Program.
  9. Account previously closed and now opened under same Aadhaar and PAN will not be considered for cashback under the Program. Similarly, cashback will not be processed for DBS accounts which are closed or frozen on date of cashback processing.
  10. If two different Customers register the same Friend/s, the one who sent the first Mobile Transfer to the same Friend/s, will be considered as an Eligible Mobile Transfer.
  11. Opening of DBS Savings account is subject to internal policies of DBS.
  12. Cashback will be credited in the account of the eligible Customers and Friend/s within 60 working days from the date of account opening on a best effort basis.
  13. The terms and conditions of the DBS Savings account and modes of payments are applicable in addition to these terms and conditions
  14. Tax liability arising from the Program, if any, will be solely borne by the Customer/Friend/s. DBS will have the right to deduct TDS, if applicable, as per existing regulations.
  15. Participation in this Program may be subject to taxes, duties, levies, charges or other liabilities for the individual and Customers/Friend/s are responsible to pay the same. Before participating in this Program, Customer/Friend/s should seek the advice of an appropriate tax consultant to clarify the tax status.
  16. If DBS subsequently discovers that the Customers/ Friend/s is in fact not eligible to participate in this Program or any of the conditions herein is not fulfilled, DBS may at its discretion forfeit the cashback or reclaim it if already rewarded by debiting the account of the Customers and Friend/s. No person shall be entitled to any payment or compensation from DBS should DBS exercise its discretion to forfeit or reclaim any reward.
  17. If cashback is unavailable at any point of time, DBS reserves the right to substitute a similar reward of equivalent or similar value without prior notice to the Customers/ Friend/s.
  18. The participation in the Program is voluntary and by participating in the Program, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
  19. In the event of any inconsistency between the Terms & Conditions and any advertising, promotional publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Program, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  20. In case of all matters relating to the Program including any dispute or discrepancy relating to the Program or eligibility of any customer, DBS’s decision shall be final and binding on Customers and Friend/s in all respects.
  21. You consent to our collection and use of your personal data and the use and disclosure of your personal data by/to third parties for the purpose of the Program. You agree to the terms of the DBS Privacy Policy, a copy which can be found at https://www.dbs.com/digibank/in/privacy-policy.page
  22. You further represent and warrant that your Friend/s consent to our collection and use of their personal data and the use and disclosure of their personal data by/to third parties for the purpose of the Program. You represent and warrant that your Friend/s agree to the terms of the DBS Privacy Policy, a copy which can be found at https://www.dbs.com/digibank/in/privacy-policy.page
  23. DBS reserves the right to and may, at any time, without previous notice and from time to time, modify/withdraw/suspend this Program, with or without any reason.
  24. This Program will be governed by the laws of India and subject to courts in Mumbai.
